I've toyed with Tabledit but I keep coming back to Tabrite. You sure can't beat the price either.īy the way, I've done all my tabs using Tabrite over the years. TEF and you can find them on the internet for many of the instruments which can be edited with Tabledit. A lot less features, no software support as they closed up shop and discontinued Tabrite but if you're looking for something that lets you enter a tab swiftly and all you want is to click the play button to hear what the tune sounds like by playing the midi file you can't but love the ease of use.
Tabrite's printouts are cosmetically superior to Tabledit, especially when it comes to showing a tune's proper timing. Tabrite on the other hand is hugely intuitive to use so it's real easy to learn. sound way nicer in Tabledit's generated midi files. Sound effect like slides, chokes, hammer ons etc. Tabledit can definitely do a lot more glitzy stuff: multiple instruments, standard music notation etc. Windows XP users simply need to move/copy this font to the \windows\fonts\ folder and voila, that's all there's to it.
